Is anyone still there?

Hello?
Hello?
Is anyone still there?
(Crickets)
😂

Well, if you’re not, I don’t blame you. It’s been a while. As fall is finally upon us, I’m reminded of the goal I made in my last blog post regarding the conclusion of Tides of Souls. Unfortunately, I shouldn’t have said that because it isn’t finished (and no, I’m not going to delete the post and pretend I didn’t write it). Lol.

Seriously, I wish I wasn’t a perfectionist. Fun fact for you: do you know I will labor over a single sentence for several weeks before I write it down? A SINGLE SENTENCE! A chapter in Change of Tides took me nearly three years to complete (the rest of the book took six months). Writing can be bloody painful! I will read and reread my work over and over and over. By the time you’re holding it in your hands, it’s been spun around, flipped upside down, gutted, diced into bite-sized pieces, and pan fried to a crisp.

So, let me get to the point. Do I have a finish date? No. Am I closer than I was in May? Yes!!! Could it be finished soon—within the year perhaps? You bet. I just don’t want to make any promises, because as we all know, something that is said on the Internet is kinda permanent (and I just made that mistake).

Please understand, the completion of this series means the world to me. Every spare moment I get, I’m laboring over my laptop, getting closer and closer to that finish line. I can’t wait for the day!

Until I write again, enjoy the precious season of fall. Put on your soft pants, grab a mug of coffee, and enjoy those trees changing colors. It’s such a pity it only comes once a year. 🍂🍁❤️
